Wedding Etiquette
Although many conventional values are in question as time goes by, wedding etiquette still holds on to many old traditions. After all, the intention is for this milestone to be a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence. We generally marry early in life, and we want to look back with fond memories, not tainted ones, of our wedding ceremony and reception. Following tried and true procedures of wedding etiquette does not preclude originality and creativity. People of different cultures have very different ceremonies and their wedding etiquette justifiably reflects these time-honored traditions. A wedding that runs smoothly and efficiently, and within budget, is more likely to happen if a clear set of guidelines of wedding etiquette are in place. There is plenty of room for flexibility in setting these guidelines, but once these have been decided, they must be followed. This adherence to wedding etiquette, as unique as it may be, helps to ensure for a memorable and joyous celebration. |
