Budgeting

Perhaps one of the most important parts of a wedding is deciding on a budget. This is a very personal matter. There are ways of having a simple yet elegant and memorable celebration of marriage without spending a lot of money. Once in a lifetime events can be designed to fit any budget.

Size and Style of Ceremony and Reception

Budget will dictate the number of people to invite to the reception. It also has some influence on the formality or informality of the ceremony as well. No matter what the size and style of the wedding, careful planning and attention to every detail helps to make the entire experience as stress-free as possible.

Location of Ceremony and Reception

Careful consideration must be given to where the ceremony will be held. Whether it will take place in a church or location of another kind, deciding this must be done as far in advance as possible. This will be influenced by the size and style of the wedding. Likewise, where the reception is held needs careful consideration. These decisions are cornerstones to a successful celebration.

Attire for Wedding Party

The style of formality selected for the wedding will help to determine what the bride, groom, bridesmaids and groomsmen will wear. Color is another consideration to be weighed carefully. The full spectrum is available.

Flower Selection

Flowers are one of the elements that give weddings your real signature. The time of year influences what flower material is available. Summer is a time of year where many local wildflowers or flowers cut from a garden can add a local flare to these events. Local florists can procure a wide range of flowers from around the world all year round, but at a price. Budgets will be a determining factor in making these selections.

Food and Beverage

There is a large range of food and beverages to choose from for the wedding reception. From coffee and a wedding cake to a full blown formal banquet, the details must be planned well in advance. Style and budget will play a major role in the decision making process. Consider having your favorites on this special day.

Invitations

The wording and design of wedding invitations is important. Consideration must be given to any reply cards, menu selection cards, maps and other inserts. Your personality will be reflected in this important invitation.

Rehearsal

This is one of the most important parts of the wedding puzzle usually involving theofficiate and entire bridal party including flower girl, ring bearer. Care and attention to detail are essential here, as the ceremony itself wants to unfold as seamlessly as possible.

Ceremony

No matter how elaborate or brief the ceremony is, it must be choreographed precisely. The rehearsal from the previous day will help to ensure this. It is enormously helpful to have a 'conductor' for the whole service so that everyone is in the right spot at the right time.

Reception

This celebration and how much fun you have are in direct proportion to how well the plans were made and executed. There still remain the cake cutting, assorted toasts, dancing and other activities depending on the complexity of the wedding. There could be a reception line and a receiving line depending on the size as well. Orchestrating the reception is as important as the ceremony itself.
